Off to Florida with my Dawgs for two weeks,1400miles,via Tenessee to drop some pups off and pick up 1 1/2 couple from the Hillsboro,hunt 4 days with the Palm Beach and drive back to NY via stops in Georgia and Virginia.Will keep a diary and inform Y'all of the goins on!!!! At least I wont be shovellin snow fer two weeks!!!Them French hounds have some voices.

California gets a bad name for being a state full of Pot Heads and Liberals ,but is also full of good old fashioned hound men(and Women). The lady who sent me the Bobcat picture is a hunting fanatic,farms 12 thousand arid acres,has a kennel full of lurchers and assorted hounds,hunts just about anything that moves,and sports a very large scar on her behind,left by an irrate hog!!(Unfortunately not seen it,but assured it is worthy.) Spent 4 days in a breeze block hut with a guy of 80 and her hunting gray fox with walkers in a State Park,this bloke leaves his wife and camps out for months with his hounds. Gets together with three or four pals and just hunts. Most of the clubs like mine are social entertainment,but if you want to hunt,there are a lot of really good people around.Love their dawgs and love runnin' fox.Mostly they tree or hole stuff and leave,only really kill coyotes which are vermin.
