RIP the Hunting Act. And an end to the political careers of Elliot Morley, Gerald Kaufman and hopefully others who took against the hunters. Corrupt hypocritical scum.
Because our trouble-free UK hunt ban protests between 1997 and 2002 seem to be conveniently ignored whenever demonstrations are discussed in the media, a perfect opportunity arose on BBC Radio 4 this lunchtime.

David Most of the people around here cannot drag their fingers to a key board the chances of them getting their arses into gear and going fishing is zero. Some of them claim to hunt...............really? Have they got the energy.

Well the organisation that Penny Little 'runs' is a limited company according to the site, so 'corperate manslaughter' could be looming on the horizon.
Are these microlights still 'monitering' hunts or have they dissapeared off the scene? if he was acting on behalf of some organisation arent they also liable?
Fishing is a form of hunting, and I've been a key player in the creation of this, the first-ever 'Festival of Fishing' to be held in the UK's Lake District, in Cumbria.

- I discovered hunting in the mid-1990's, going out of foot with the fell packs in Cumbria. In 2000 I was appointed to the Countryside Alliance's regional media team, with responsibility for Cumbria, Lancashire and Cheshire. Two years later my job was 'redesigned', and I ended up doing the CA's PR for seven English counties, going right down to Hereford. Two years after that, Simon Hart took over at the CA, and all the regional media team members, along with others, were made redundant. At least I didn't have to answer the phone calls from journalists the day the Act was eventualy passed!
I'm a total romantic about hunting in the Cumbrian fells. It's the nearest I get to 'the sublime'.

You would love it, but the terrain can be extremely tough, perhaps a little like in Scotland, craggy, deep gullys and thick tree cover in parts I imagine. If ever you go, and deer are your bag, let me know.
