Supporting Dogged Resistance

David Stocker

Let’s get a huntsman dressed in hunting pink with a couple (or more) of hounds onto the 4th Plinth in Trafalgar Square

Sculptor Anthony Gormley has had his idea accepted of what should go onto the ‘vacant’ plinth. It will be people, one at a time, for an hour at a time, for a 100 days running. Folk will be chosen by lottery, I understand. Let’s try and create another PR coup to sit alongside Icons of England, the Channel 4 Political awards, and so on. More in due course

Thank you! Its a great photo opportunity.

It is indeed. If it comes off, bear in mind in advance the fact that Trafalgar Square is controlled by nasty bureaucrats who pounce on anything they perceive as professional photography. I hope this might change under the new mayor. Anyway, it probably wouldn't affect the dailies, or TV.
The dogs won't like standing still! Especially if they're provoked by antis. Might be a bit of confrontation: make sure (a) there are lots of cameras ready to record the vicious, hate-filled faces of the antis, and (b) you have some intimidatingly large Hunt supporters on hand ready to kick the c**p out of any antis who get bothersome.

I think its an excellent idea however I think the PC police will have ya! Its is okay of course to have a armless, legless, pregnant lapper on their but not a huntsman me thinks.

Judging by my response to the news, I reckon the fourth plinth will turn into a theatre of discontent, with every pressure group in the UK, trying to get a presence on it. The joy of getting a hunts-person up there would be that there would be no need for banners proclaimng a cause. It was in part the iconic nature of hunting that ZanuLabour wanted to airbrush from our culture, so by having someone up there in the pink, we can just throw it back at them!

of course it will 8000 people will bring 'their' issue to the plinth along with a handfull of supporters, will brown take any notice? of course not, when the economy is good its all his doing now its bad the working classes are expected to 'do their bit' 'for the good of all' and take below inflation pay rises , and he expects to do as he pleases, Zim leader must be delighted he has no oil he still has his head attached, if you have oil and still no WMD's (odd that) you will swing.

Where are all those people who voted labour, just off now to meeting about the local hospital that 'the 24 hours to save NHS Labour are thinking of closing' But its okay as another soldier was killed to day so we can all sleep safe in the knowledge terrorist cannot get us, well except for the ones that are already here of course!

and relax.
